St. Peter's Named to HomeCare Elite
St. Peter's Home Care, a certified home-care agency for Albany and Rensselaer counties, has been named to the 2009 HomeCare Elite -- a national designation for the top 25 percent of home health agencies with the best results in patient outcomes, quality improvement and financial performance.
The 2009 HomeCare Elite is the only performance recognition of its kind in the home health industry. The 2009 HomeCare Elite is brought to the industry by OCS, Inc. and DecisionHealth.
"This is the first time that we have been named to the HomeCare Elite and we are delighted," said Sister Jean McGinty, MS, RN, director, St. Peter's Home Care. "This represents the great work of our staff whose goal is to improve clinical, functional and financial outcomes. It is through wisdom, guidance and continued pursuit of improved outcomes for our patients that our staff have achieved this honor."
Sister Jean specifically noted the leadership of Mary Dormandy, operations manager and Annette Tuffey, manager of patient safety and quality improvement, with achieving St. Peter's ranking in the 2009 HomeCare Elite. Winners are ranked by an analysis of performance measures in quality outcomes, quality improvement, and financial performance.
